Guru Rinpoche and Dakini Caves in Upper Hyolmo
To visit the upper caves, we recommend a 5-day tour:
Day 1: Jeep from Kathmandu to Hyolmo, stay at Chiri Village.
Day 2: All-day hike to Khandroma Cave and Guru Rinpoche’s Cave. Spend the night there.
Day 3: Visit the nearby lake and hike back to Chiri.
Day 4: Visit to Shakya Zangpo’s Monastery (Hyolmo’s oldest monastery and Shakya Zangpo’s practice cave).
Day 5: Visit Milarepa’s Cave and return to Kathmandu.
Price: 560 USD for one person. Includes all expenses in Hyolmo and private transportation. Additional 110 USD per person for up to 5 people.
